Cateia Games who gave us such masterpieces as The Legend of Crystal Valley and Iron Roses are developing a new strategy/simulation game for PC and Mac named Shaman Odyssey: Tropic Adventure.
Without revealing too much of the storyline, you are village's shaman, it will be your job to make your villagers happy and productive while investigating various exotic islands. At first sight a tropical island might seem like the perfect place to live, but things aren't that simple. Hazards like pirates, sharks, and storms are threatening the villagers and their families, and the members of your tribe have scattered to the surrounding islands. You'll have to help your people reunite and build a safe new place to live.
The gameplay may remind us Virtual Villagers and Build-a-lot, you'll gather herbs and potions, tend to injured and sick villagers, construct buildings using natural resources like wood, stone, shells and jewels, and complete tasks like "Get rid of the ghosts" or "Collect 30 Food."
Shaman Odyssey: Tropic Adventure offers us an intriguing storyline, stuffed with busy challenging tasks and goals. In comparison with other similar issues cartoon-based artwork is rather good and looks vivid.
The developers have decided to keep us in suspense, saying nothing about its coming out date. They content themselves with a shy reply, “It is coming soon” What a playful answer! We have nothing to do but look through some screenshots:
